Grassroot is made possible by the generosity of many. We intend to be self-sustaining once we have scaled up, but as with any new technology, we require start-up capital to get there--to build the tools, to reach early adopters and scale up. We cannot offer financial returns--only the promise of helping to transform a country, and, perhaps, the texture of local government everywhere.

At present, we have prototypes out in the field, and are continuously surprised by the rate of adoption and reuse we are seeing. Across 2016 we will complete the product, iterate it, expand our reach, and prepare to scale. We have reached this point thanks to institutional and individual donors, to whom we are immensely grateful. Below we list the institutions that have supported us so far, as well as individuals who have contributed R10,000/$1,000 and above, some of whom have requested that we keep their gift anonymous.
